Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for local and regional deliveries within the Washington DC metropolitan area
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and safety protocols during all transportation activities
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and schedule changes
- Manage loading/unloading procedures while ensuring cargo integrity
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Washington DC traffic regulations and urban navigation
- Strong time-management skills and ability to meet delivery deadlines
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement techniques and weight distribution
