Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans to deliver goods on time and within the schedule.
- Pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Manage paperwork, including delivery receipts and logs, accurately and promptly.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on vehicle type).
- Clean driving abstract with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Previous driving experience is preferred but we offer training for qualified candidates.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor during loading/unloading.
- Strong time management skills to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a commercial vehicle.
