Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for regional routes to Illinois
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate driving logs
- Inspect vehicles before/after trips and report maintenance needs
- Load/unload freight efficiently with proper handling techniques
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route changes and delays
- Meet delivery deadlines while prioritizing safety
- Complete required paperwork (BOLs, manifests) accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and HOS
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Flexibility for early morning starts and weekend shifts
- Willingness to travel to Illinois (no overnight stays required)
