Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes in Seattle metropolitan area
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain clean vehicles
- Supervise student conduct and enforce safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety regulations
- Assist students with boarding/exiting and mobility needs
- Complete accurate trip logs and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Washington State Commercial Driver's License (Class B with P/S endorsement)
- Minimum 1 year driving experience or willingness to complete paid training
- Pass federal background check and DOT physical examination
- Child CPR/First Aid certification (provided if needed)
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and assist with student mobility
- Fluent English proficiency; bilingual Spanish a plus
