Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Monitor student behavior and enforce safety protocols
- Maintain accurate transportation records
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff
- Adhere to all Texas DMV and school district regulations
- Respond appropriately to emergencies
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class B CDL (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent driving record (3+ years)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and compassion for children
