Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes adhering to traffic laws and district policies
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Monitor student behavior and ensure a positive, secure environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Follow emergency procedures and maintain student discipline protocols
- Complete accurate daily logs and mileage reports
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean driving record
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Commitment to student safety and well-being
- Ability to work flexible hours (early mornings and afternoons)
