Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict schedules
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Manage student behavior with patience and professionalism
- Adhere to all traffic laws and school district safety protocols
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Provide emergency assistance during transit situations
Qualifications
- Valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement
- Clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience working with children preferred
