Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes in all weather conditions
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Supervise students to ensure safety and appropriate behavior
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety protocols
- Complete daily trip logs and incident reports as required
- Provide first aid assistance in emergency situations
Qualifications
- Valid Washington State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
- Clear driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and patience with children
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with children preferred
