Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles and follow designated routes using GPS navigation systems
- Load/unload merchandise with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route updates and delivery status
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Assist with warehouse duties during non-delivery periods as needed
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Strong time management skills and route optimization knowledge
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic familiarity with delivery management software
