Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently on local and regional routes within the Philadelphia area.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure fastening.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and ensure full compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no DUIs or major moving violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging devices (ELDs).
