Responsibilities
- Deliver Packages: Safely and efficiently transport packages to residential and commercial addresses in the Philadelphia, VA area.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer questions, and handle package adjustments when necessary.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is clean and in safe operating condition.
- Route Planning: Follow delivery routes efficiently to maximize time and ensure all stops are completed within the scheduled shift.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery logs, receipts, and delivery reports.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A clean, valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not always required for local delivery).
- Driving Record: A satisfactory driving record with no recent major violations.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Technology: Comfortable using handheld delivery devices or smartphone apps.
