Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with all federal, state, and local traffic laws.
- Inspections: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Load Management: Secure cargo properly and monitor load conditions during transit to prevent damage or loss.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of driving time, mileage, and delivery statuses using electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Communication: Maintain constant communication with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Customer Service: Deliver professional and courteous service to clients and ensure all delivery locations are reached safely and on time.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) required.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Medical Certification: Current DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
- Experience: Previous commercial driving experience is preferred but not mandatory for qualified candidates.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a background check.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo.
