Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver cargo to designated locations in Columbus and surrounding areas.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo integrity throughout the transit process.
- Maintain accurate logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records in strict adherence to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (CDL Required).
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Current DOT medical card.
- Basic understanding of logbooks and DOT regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
