Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to designated locations in and around Columbus.
- Cargo Handling: Properly load, secure, and unload freight to ensure items arrive damage-free.
- Route Management: Follow GPS and delivery logs to ensure timely arrivals at customer drop-off points.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery receipts, bills of lading, and mileage logs.
- Customer Interaction: Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with customers and the public.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Must hold a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License.
- Driving History: Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Age Requirement: At least 21 years of age.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read maps and follow directions.
