Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks, flatbeds) for local deliveries
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip logs
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route optimization
- Report maintenance issues and vehicle defects promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and navigation skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work 20-30 hours weekly (mornings/afternoons)
- Knowledge of Raleigh/Durham metro area preferred
