Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial trucks and vans in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and Unload: Properly load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling as required.
- Maintain Records: Keep accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and delivery receipts.
- Vehicle Inspection: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal working condition.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and ensure packages are delivered with care.
- Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and DOT regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Clean Record: A satisfactory driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
- Experience: Prior experience in logistics, trucking, or delivery is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to navigate effectively using GPS systems.
