Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A/B commercial vehicles to transport freight within designated Chicago routes
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining accurate trip logs and documentation
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
- Ensure cargo security through proper loading/unloading techniques and seal verification
- Comply with all FMCSA regulations, HOS requirements, and local traffic laws
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and issue resolution
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and traffic avoidance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Chicago metropolitan area traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation software
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
