About the Role:
As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various destinations within the Norfolk area and surrounding regions. You will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service and adhering to all safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to deliver goods on time and in good condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Assist with loading and unloading of cargo as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
