Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers for long-haul freight transport across designated routes
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient loading/unloading schedules
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Implement defensive driving techniques in all weather conditions
- Maintain clean driving record and compliance with company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb tractor/trailer steps
- Pass mandatory DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient in using electronic logging devices and GPS navigation
- Strong communication skills for customer/driver interactions
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling (Hazmat endorsement preferred)
