Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for overnight deliveries across Chicagoland area
- Load/unload cargo with precision and care using advanced equipment
- Strictly adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Optimize routes using GPS navigation to meet tight delivery deadlines
- Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle inspections
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team regarding route changes or delays
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during cargo handling
- Flexible availability for overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong knowledge of Chicago-area highways and delivery zones
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
