Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across designated routes during night shifts
- Perform pre-trip inspections, documentation, and post-trip vehicle maintenance checks
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and delivery scheduling
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records
- Handle specialized cargo requiring temperature control or hazardous materials endorsement (when applicable)
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial trucking experience with night shift preference
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Austin metro area routes and Texas highway systems
- Pass background check and drug screening per DOT requirements
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours
- Flexibility for occasional weekend or overtime shifts as needed
