Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate commercial trucks and vans safely and efficiently in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load Management: Properly load, secure, and unload cargo, ensuring weight distribution is accurate and safety protocols are followed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of delivery logs, mileage, and fuel consumption in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Vehicle Care: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or damages immediately.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and customers at delivery sites, ensuring a positive brand representation.
- Schedule Adherence: Adhere strictly to assigned routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
Qualifications
- CDL License: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience preferred.
- HOS Compliance: Knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) rules and regulations.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and pass a DOT physical examination.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to read maps and GPS systems.
