Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight freight deliveries across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and securement techniques
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems while adhering to traffic regulations and delivery schedules
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route conditions, delays, or delivery issues
- Maintain clean driving record and complete all required safety training modules
- Support warehouse operations during loading/unloading when necessary
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience in long-haul operations
- Clean MVR with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.)
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts in varying weather conditions
- Pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation software
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills for critical deliveries
