Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages and goods across Charlotte metropolitan area
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delivery status and obstacles
- Load/unload packages with proper lifting techniques to prevent damage
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and traffic regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience or equivalent
- Ability to lift packages up to 60 lbs consistently
- Strong knowledge of Charlotte street systems and surrounding areas
- Flexible availability for night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery apps
- Reliable transportation to/from depot
- Pass background check and drug screening
