Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks on local routes within Columbus and the surrounding Ohio region.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring secure transportation.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record with no recent serious violations.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle troubleshooting.
- Basic math skills and ability to read maps or use GPS navigation.
