Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods across the DC metro area and surrounding regions
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal safety and compliance
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines while minimizing fuel consumption
- Accurately document delivery logs, mileage reports, and cargo manifests for regulatory compliance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status and potential delays
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong knowledge of Washington DC metropolitan roadways and regional highways
- Excellent time management skills with proven on-delivery performance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including early mornings and weekends
