Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) for long-haul and regional routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation while maintaining accurate delivery logs
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance issues promptly
- Coordinate with dispatchers for timely pickups/delays and customer updates
- Secure and verify cargo documentation for seamless transit
- Maintain professional communication with clients and warehouse staff
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading/unloading equipment
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and cargo securement standards
- Flexibility for irregular schedules, overnight trips, and weekend work
- Pass background check and drug screening (required)
- Basic navigation skills and familiarity with Texas road networks
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
