Responsibilities
- Deliver Goods: Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages and merchandise to residential and commercial addresses in Columbus and surrounding areas.
- Load & Unload: Efficiently load and unload cargo using dollies, pallet jacks, and manual handling to ensure items are secure.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, handle signatures, and resolve any delivery issues or questions.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of the vehicle, report mechanical issues, and keep the vehicle clean and organized.
- Route Management: Follow assigned delivery routes efficiently using GPS navigation to meet time schedules.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Class C Driver's License required.
- Record: Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Age: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous driving experience is a plus, but we provide on-the-job training.
- Skills: Basic computer skills for logging delivery data and strong communication skills.
