Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Inspect and maintain vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes to meet delivery deadlines while adhering to traffic laws
- Document and report all delivery activities, discrepancies, and vehicle maintenance
- Collaborate with dispatch teams to optimize load scheduling and customer service
- Ensure proper handling and security of high-value cargo during transit
- Maintain electronic logs and required documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of San Francisco Bay Area geography and traffic patterns
- DOT medical certification and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Previous experience with freight handling and cargo securement preferred
