Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and heavy equipment to deliver freight on time and in excellent condition.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling as required.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, miles traveled, and delivery status using electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery updates and route changes.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Represent the company professionally while representing the brand at customer locations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience as a professional truck driver.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong knowledge of map reading and GPS navigation systems.
- Willingness to work variable hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
