What You'll Do
As a Freight Driver, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain. You will ensure the timely and safe delivery of goods to our clients while maintaining a clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently on all road conditions.
- Load and unload cargo using proper safety equipment and techniques.
- Prepare and inspect cargo documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.
- Maintain a clean and professional driving record free of violations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable truck driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic proficiency with handheld delivery devices or electronic logging devices (ELD).
