Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan efficient delivery routes while adhering to DOT regulations and timelines
- Load/unload cargo with precision using appropriate equipment
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Document delivery details and handle necessary paperwork accurately
- Ensure cargo security and compliance with industry standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Sacramento metro area and California highways
- DOT medical certification and current physical examination
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
- Background check and drug screening clearance required
