Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles in and around the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution and safety protocols are followed.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork, including electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations within the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Basic math skills for handling cargo weights and measurements.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods during loading/unloading.
- Valid Medical Certificate (DOT medical card).
