Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks on assigned routes and highways.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required paperwork.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and minor repairs as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A (or willingness to obtain via training).
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving techniques.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks during loading/unloading.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
