Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to transport goods and materials over long distances in a safe and timely manner.
- Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper securing to prevent damage during transit.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and miles traveled in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
- Represent the company professionally at all times, maintaining a clean and organized cab.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain one through our training program.
- Automobile driver's license.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
- Basic English reading and comprehension skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate driving.
