Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Operate commercial trucks and vans to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated delivery points.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and delivery points.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (willingness to obtain if applicable).
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading.
