Responsibilities
- Safely deliver packages and food orders to customers within designated Oakland neighborhoods
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures when required
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery status and issues
- Assist with loading/unloading operations at warehouse and customer locations
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Reliable personal vehicle or ability to operate company vehicle
- Basic smartphone proficiency for navigation and communication apps
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during shift
- Strong time management and punctuality skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening
- No prior experience required – training provided
