Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and legally in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Uphold the company's strict safety standards and company policies at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable while on duty.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license required (CDL permit holders may be considered for training roles).
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum age of 21 years old for interstate driving.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and time management skills.
- Basic math skills for cargo calculations and scales.
- Willingness to submit to a background check and drug screening.
