Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner on various routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR).
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the cargo during transport.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or Class B) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR check).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Basic English reading and communication skills for safety documentation.
- Willingness to submit to a background check.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety standards.
