Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently using proper equipment.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Maintain professional customer service standards during deliveries.
- Operate the vehicle in a safe, defensive driving manner at all times.
- Complete all required paperwork and electronic logging device (ELD) entries accurately.
- Report any mechanical issues or road hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in hand.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform minor vehicle maintenance.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
