Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport loose materials (soil, rock, gravel, asphalt) to and from construction sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and mileage (ELD compliant).
- Load and unload trucks using winches, forklifts, or hand tools safely.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding schedules and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B (Driver's License).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience driving dump trucks or heavy equipment.
- Clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy loads.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
