Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated destinations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, traffic signals, and company safety policies at all times.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve any delivery issues or delays.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no DUIs or major moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Familiarity with Georgia roadways and local traffic patterns.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
