Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 commercial vehicles on multi-day routes
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and document maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
- Handle secure cargo transportation with chain-of-custody procedures
- Report road hazards and traffic conditions in real-time
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong geographical knowledge of Eastern US
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Willingness to travel 5-7 days at a time
