Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles for long-haul routes ensuring timely delivery of freight
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes while optimizing fuel consumption and delivery schedules
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Complete required documentation including bills of lading and delivery reports
- Maintain clean driving record and represent the company professionally
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading/unloading equipment
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation systems
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and extended periods away from home
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
