Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for long-haul routes across the Eastern Seaboard
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip to ensure safety and compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and delivery timelines
- Handle cargo loading/unloading with proper documentation
- Communicate proactively with clients and dispatch regarding shipment status
- Maintain clean driving record and complete required training modules
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 1-year OTR experience
- Clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexibility for irregular schedules and overnight travel
