Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53' dry van reefers) on multi-day routes across the Southeast
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Ensure on-time delivery of temperature-sensitive freight while maintaining chain-of-custody protocols
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
- Utilize GPS routing systems to optimize delivery schedules and fuel efficiency
- Provide exceptional customer service through proactive communication
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean MVR (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years OTR experience with refrigerated freight preferred
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices and trip planning software
- Strong navigation skills and route optimization knowledge
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
