Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers over various routes in a timely and efficient manner.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and safety protocols are followed.
- Prepare and maintain accurate delivery documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and local traffic laws, as well as company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of cargo securement and weight limits.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Current medical card and DOT drug screening clearance.
