Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM with occasional weekend overtime.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport packages, documents, and time-sensitive goods
- Optimize daily delivery routes using GPS technology for maximum efficiency
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, obtain customer signatures, and resolve delivery exceptions
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Communicate proactively with dispatch, clients, and recipients regarding delivery status
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies
- Assist with loading/unloading packages using proper lifting techniques
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean MVR (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Sacramento area geography and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery apps
