Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages and documents across NYC boroughs using company vehicles
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and proof of delivery documentation
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to ensure on-time arrivals
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class D driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Proven experience in courier, delivery, or transportation role
- Strong knowledge of NYC streets and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Basic smartphone proficiency for navigation apps
- Background check and drug screening required
- NYC commercial driving permit (CDL B preferred but not required)
