Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and FMCSA regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in top condition.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring weight distribution is correct and securing loads properly.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) as required by federal law.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any potential issues.
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service and safety culture on the job.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong willingness to learn and train; no prior driving experience required for qualified candidates.
- Clean driving record and good moral character.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic math skills for calculating mileage and fuel consumption.
